This guide provides detailed, step-by-step instructions on how to create, edit, and manage event categories within the StatStak platform. It focuses on helping administrators navigate through the system to customize event types for better organizational workflows. The process includes defining assessment categories, setting session durations, and assigning specific costs. Following this guide ensures accurate event management and a seamless user experience.

Step-by-Step Guide:

1. Expand Portal Options:

Begin by navigating to the left-side panel from your dashboard. Click the 'portal options' icon to expand the available options. This is the initial step for customizing your event categories and other settings in the platform.

Click on expand_more

2. Open Settings:

Once the portal options are expanded, locate and click 'Settings'. This will direct you to the platform's core management page where you can make adjustments to the system, such as customizing event types and categories, user permissions, and much more.

💡 While you're in settings, head over to 'Terminology' and customize whatever you want to show for 'Assessments' on buttons and checkout.

Click on Settings

3. Choose Event Types:

Find the 'Event types' option in the' Settings' menu. Clicking this will allow you to manage, create, and edit event categories.

Click on Event types…

4. Create a New Category:

In the 'Event types' dashboard, you will see a list of existing categories. To add a new one, click the '+ Create a new category' button.

Click on add…

5. Assign the Assessment Description:

When creating a new category, enter a name, attach an image, and assign a priority level.

💡 It is recommended to include the word 'Assessment' in your category name.

Click on Name…

6. Define the Category as an Assessment:

To make the category an official assessment, toggle the 'Is assessment?' switch to 'Yes'. This ensures the event is categorized correctly, allowing for specific assessment-related functionalities to be applied.

Click on Yes

7. Select Duration Options:

Next, you’ll need to define the session length options for this category. Select these values from the drop-down menu to provide flexibility in event scheduling.

💡 If you want to ensure your users only book assessments for the intended time, only include one duration option.

Click on dropdown trigger

8. Assign Questions:

Within the category setup, you have the option to assign specific questions to the user upon regisration. Utilize these questions to ask for desired information from the registered users prior to the assessment.

Click on dropdown trigger

9. Enter Cost Details:

Specify the cost for the assessment. Additionally, assign the number of credits required to register for the events with credits alone. These are adjustments to the trainers normal costs, so if a trainer is $50/hr, and you '+ Cost' $20 the rate would be $70.

Click on + Credits…

10. Finalize Creation:

After reviewing the assessment's details, click 'Create new category' to finalize the setup. Your newly created category will now be available for use in the system.

🚨 Important! Users will not be able to sign up for this assessment if you do not also complete the following:

  • Add the event category to at least one trainer as a skill they offer

  • Add the event category to at least one feature that can support the assessment

Click on add…

11. Confirmation Message:

After finalizing your new category, a confirmation message will appear, confirming that all changes have been saved successfully. Click 'Continue' to proceed.

Click on Success!…

12. Share, Edit, Delete:

Once the new category has been created, it will appear in the list of event categories. You can choose to share the direct link, edit any details, or delete the category by selecting the appropriate icons next to the category name.

Click on Pitching Assessment…

13. Verify Assessment Button is Active:

After creating an assessment category, navigate to the platform's landing page and verify that the 'Assessment' button is visible and active. This button should be located on the home screen, alongside other landing page event buttons. The activation of this button ensures that users can now access the newly created assessments.

🔔 If the 'Assessment' button is not visible from the landing page, navigate to the 'Website Design' section of the Facility Settings dashboard to activate the button.

Click on person_outline…

By following these instructions, you can ensure that your organization’s event types are properly customized and readily available for participants. This systematic approach ensures a consistent and reliable experience within the StatStak Labs platform.
