With the 10/2 release, a major update to the invoice process in the event builder has been added. You are now able to create invoices that are attached to Multiple Users. This allows for a more streamlined process in charging users that are purchasing lessons, rentals, and more in a group setting.
Step-By-Step Process:
1. Start with Creating an Event:
To learn the new multiple checkout users feature, get started by creating an event. In this example a lesson for two people simultaneously will be created. Both users are able to be added as checkout users in the event. The use case for this is common in lessons, rentals, and events, allowing for quicker and more efficient checkout processes.
2. Create your Invoice:
Create your invoice for your users. In this example we're going to charge Eli and Mike $50 for each lesson. If you use the individual invoices this will charge them a set amount for each lesson. If you wish to create less (or more) invoices, select the
custom invoices option at the top.
3. Add your Checkout Users:
Now, you are able to add multiple users to checkout simultaneously! We are able to freely add both Mike and Eli to these invoices, charging each of them $50 for each lesson. This new process is effective for group lessons and rentals that are paid separately. Next, custom invoices.
4. Set up your Custom Invoice:
If you wish to not charge a set amount for each lesson, you can set up custom invoices to charge your group as well. We want to charge Eli and Mike $50 each for each of the 4 lessons, but don't want to charge them 4 times. Here we can set them up to pay $100 twice, every two events. Add in your description, cost, and date to be charged and add it to the invoice. You may fully customize this as you wish, adding any number of instances of payment to the user. Shown is the first payment of two to be issued.
5. Add your Checkout Users:
Similar to the individual invoices, the custom invoices allow you to set these options to multiple users. Here, we will select both Mike and Eli to be charged $100 each on the 10th and 24th, fully paying for the lesson in only 2 invoices.
6. Schedule Invoices:
Once your information looks good, select schedule invoices to complete the process.
7. Confirm your information:
Once you select schedule, a confirmation screen will appear. This will run by the information you filled out, and give you a notice if you have selected multiple checkout users.
