In this guide, you will learn the basics of the drag and drop scheduling featured in the grid tab. This allows for easy editing and viewing availability in your facility. This functionality provides seamless schedule management that is crucial for the user experience on our platform.
Step-By-Step Guide:
1. Enter your schedule
To get started, enter your schedule in the admin portal. This will give you access on everything you need to create, edit, and view events in the facility's calendar.
2. Enter the Grid Tab:
Here you will see the standard view of your calendar and events in the date range. Switch over to the grid tab to get started with your drag and drop functionality.
3. Getting Started with the Grid:
Here you will see your grid. First, make sure you select the date you wish to view in the top right. In this example we are looking at September 9th. This view will show each hour, trainer, and feature that your facility contains and their availability. Any events you have scheduled on this day will appear here with their respective time slots. You may create a new event with the traditional create event button in the top right, or you may click and drag over the time(s) you want your event to be. In the example pictured below, I dragged my cursor from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm to create a new event in our system.
4. Enter the God Mode Editor:
When you have your event in the time frame you desire, click on the event and it will open this sidebar. Here you can view the event, check in, cancel, and enter the god mode editor for the event. Entering god mode will bring you to the editor screen that you should be familiar with. You can change the event type and its respective details in that screen.
5. Edit your Event on the Grid:
If you wish to make quick and easy edits to the time, trainer, or facility on the fly, you have the ability to do so on the grid itself. You can click and drag the event to move it to a different time frame as well as a different trainer. This allows easy functionality in editing scheduling mistakes. You also may shorten the event by dragging the top or bottom of the box to lengthen or shorten the time frame. If you wish to delete an event, select the trash can icon in the bottom right of your screen.
This guide provides users a quick rundown on the new process added to the grid in Baseline. This drag and drop functionality allows for a user-friendly experience that everyone desires. New functions and capabilities will be added and fixed in the near future.
