Customize a Team Template to Efficiently Create New Teams

This guide provides a detailed walkthrough for administrators on how to create and customize a team template within the StatStak Labs platform. By creating a team template, administrators can quickly set up new teams using pre-defined structures, policies, and settings. The process involves navigating the admin portal, accessing the account settings, locating and selecting the template feature, and finally customizing the team template to suit the organization's needs. This guide streamlines the process of team creation, ensuring consistency and efficiency across the platform.

Step-by-Step Guide:

1. Expand Portal Options:

Access the admin dashboard and select the drop-down arrow from the left-hand navigation bar. This will display additional admin portal functions and settings.

2. Open Account Settings:

From the expanded portal menu, locate the 'Settings' button and click it. This will open the Account Settings dashboard, where you can access the team templates.

Click on Settings

3. Locate Templates:

Within the Account Settings dashboard, find the 'Templates' icon and click on it. This will display the existing team templates and allow you to create a new one.

4. Create a Template:

To create a new team template, click on the 'Create new team template' button.

Click on add…

5. Choose a Starting Point:

If it is beneficial, click on an existing template as a starting point for the new template. To start from scratch, click the 'Next' button without selecting an existing template.

6. Enter a Team Template Name:

Begin detailing the new team template by entering a team template name. This should be modified to become the team name each time the template is used to create a new team.

Type "Team Template"

7. Add Team Tags:

Assign tags to the team template to categorize your teams and optimize the filtering capabilities in the team dashboard.

Click on dropdown trigger

8. Choose to Save as Template:

Before advancing to the next page of the template creation process, make sure to switch the 'Save as template' toggle to 'Yes.' Review each section of the team template page and then click 'Next' to advance.

💬 Note that the team template will not be saved unless this toggle has been activated to 'Yes.'

9. Attach Contracts:

If necessary, add contracts to the template that are consistently required for all roster players to sign during the registration process.

10. Include Required Questions:

Similarly to contracts, if necessary, add required questions to the template that are consistently required for all roster players to answer during the registration process.

Click on ex. What is your top choice for a jersey number?

11. Add Team Fees:

Similarly to contracts and required questions, if necessary, add team fees to the template that are consistently required for all roster players to pay during the registration process.

Click on ex. Registration fee, Uniforms

12. Assign Payment Plan Options:

Assign as many payment plan options as necessary to allow roster players to select a plan that best fits their financial situation.

📢 Note that if a user selects a payment cycle after the assigned payment plan start date (designated during the team creation process), then the system will apply the same equidistant scheduling logic to charge the user at fixed dates. This will keep the user from being charged multiple payments in a short amount of time and maintain a consistent payment cycle.

💬 Additionally, note that each payment plan will stay attached to the template. Every team created using this template will be defaulted to having the assigned payment plans.

13. Search Administrators:

Attach administrators who will be associated with teams created with this template by searching their names and clicking the '+' icon.

14. Finalize Payment Details:

Specify any final template details, including the payment plan start date, end date, and main bank account.

15. Review Template:

Review the template's 'Example receipt & payouts' details to confirm the payment credentials have been set up properly.

16. Complete Template Creation:

Complete the team template creation process by clicking the 'Create Team' button.

17. Confirmation Message:

After creating the template, a popup message will appear to notify you that the team template was created successfully.

🔔 To create teams using the template, click on the associated template icon at the start of the team creation process.
