By following the steps outlined in this guide, administrators can efficiently navigate the user dashboard, locate specific user accounts, and modify their user types. This ensures the proper assignment of user capabilities, enhancing the overall user management process. This systematic approach ensures a consistent and reliable experience within the StatStak Labs platform.
Step-By-Step Guide:
1. Navigate to Users:
There are two ways to update a User type. Begin by locating the 'Users' tab in the left-hand side dashboard of the admin portal. Click on the tab to initiate the process.
2. Search for Account:
Within the Users dashboard, locate the search bar and utilize it to find the intended account you are looking for. Notice that you can use the drop-down menu to search using different filters.
3. Select an Account:
From the list, find the user you wish to edit and click the profile button adjacent to their name. By clicking on this button, you will be directed to the account's individual settings and profile.
4. Transition to Profile Tab:
Within the account's settings, locate and click on the 'Profile' tab near the top of the screen. This section holds the account's individual profile information.
5. Toggle User Type
In the account's profile, scroll to locate the user type toggle. Click on the user type to expand the list of possible user types. Then, choose the new user type that you would like to assign to this account. Changing the user type will instantaneously update the user's capabilities and access related to the assigned user type. Next, we'll show the alternate way to update a User type.
6. Select an account:
For the second way to update a User's type, navigate back to the Users dashboard and select the account you wish to edit. Note that instead of clicking the profile button, select the user as a whole instead.
7. Toggle the User Type:
Selecting the account will pop open the User details. In the first tab, 'User Info', you will see User type below their email. Here you can change what User type they are.
By following these steps, administrators can seamlessly update user types within the StatStak Labs platform, ensuring precise assignment of user capabilities. This systematic approach ensures a consistent and reliable experience within the StatStak Labs platform.
